Strawberry Peak w/ Ian Culbertson {Backpacking/Surfing}

Join us for a 12 mile, 3,000 ft elevation hike to Strawberry Peak! This will be quite the hike, but the 360 degree, panoramic views of the surrounding mountains will make it worth it. Joining us is legendary Peaks Professor Ian Culbertson, who teaches classes from surfing to hiking!

PROFESSOR: IAN CULBERTSON

Professor Ian Culbertson teaches classes in Surfing and Backpacking the Physical Education department at USC. An avid hiker and surfer, if it’s outside, he’s probably done it! One of Peaks’ legend professors, he’s been on some of our gnarliest trips.

12 miles, 3,000ft elevation gain!!

SCENERY: views on views on views, with some moderately difficult rock scrambling.

FUN FACT: Strawberry Peak got its name from moutaineers who thought the mountain looked like an upside-down strawberry. Tbh doesn’t every mountain look like that…..?
