Beaudry Loop w/ Rachel Newman {English}

IMPORTANT UPDATE: STARTING 11/5/2023 WE WILL BE REVERTING TO FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. Sign ups will open 9PM on Sundays of Wave release (instead of being open 9PM-12AM)

Join us for a trip to the amazing Verdugo Mountains in Glendale with avid hiker and PhD student Rachel Newman! We will explore the scenic Beaudry Loop and soak up the panoramic views of Los Angeles. This 5.5 mile loop trail will be a fantastic way to finish your weekend!

PACKING LIST:

  • Hiking boots (or a good pair of sneakers)

  • Snacks (and lunch if you wish)

  • Water (at least 2L)

  • Sunscreen

  • Hat & Sunglasses

  • Layers

  • Waivers

RATE MY PROFESSOR: "One word - AMAZING!"

Professor Newman is in her fifth year of a PhD program in English Literature at USC and studies 19th century British novels. She also teaches writing as an Assistant Lecturer for Thematic Option. She enjoys hiking and horseback riding in the LA area, and has spent time backpacking in the Eastern Sierras, culminating in a trip up Mount Whitney. Ask her about her hiking adventures, recent research in the UK or passion for English Literature!

FUN FACT: This area was totally shaped by earthquake geology!!
