Sunset hike. Star photography workshop. Outdoor art installations. Get ready for Peaks and Professors's most ~artsy~ overnight ever!! We will be car camping close to Joshua Tree, doing some short, scenic hikes, checking out art and learning how to capture the beautiful night sky with artist and professor, Jeff Cain.

FUN FACT: Joshua Tree National Park is a popular location for astronomy and stargazing due to its largely light pollution-free skies.
PACKING LIST:
-Tent (if you have one. If not, we will try to provide!)
-Sleeping bag (Same as above)
-Sleeping pad (Same as above)
-Mess kit (fork, knife, plate, cup, etc.)
-Proper clothing - deserts are HOT! (Then cold at night.)
-Camera (if you have one-Nikons, Canons, Kodaks are all welcome)

In addition to his teaching, Jeff Cain is an artist, designer and curator. His work focuses on how research-based material production can interpret, intervene and innovate natural and social environments. His projects have been shown at the J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, UCR ARTSblock and Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions.
