We’ll spend a lovely morning hiking to Glendale Peak in Griffith Park, where we’ll see a sweeping view of LA and the San Gabriel Mountains. It’s a short 3.6 mile loop, so we should get back to campus in time to cram more fun into your Saturday :) Journalism professor Gabe Kahn, one of the student favorites over at Annenberg, will join us for the hike!
PACKING LIST:
Sturdy shoes for hiking (hiking/running shoes)
H2O!!!
Sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat perhaps (sunny hike)
A snack
WAIVERS!
PROFESSOR: GABE KAHN
When Professor Kahn moved to Italy after studying Italian Language and Literature, he wasn’t expecting to find a career in journalism. But then he ended up serving as a Wall Street Journal bureau chief in Rome years later, so life’s crazy. Ask him about that and the many other stories he’s collected from his career in LA, Hong Kong and Rome.
PEAK: GLENDALE PEAK
