Join Professor Ashley Uyeshiro Simon on a lovely Sunday morning hike in Malibu at Mugu Peak Trail! While this hike is only 3 miles, be prepared for a steep climb with lots of elevation gain (1,253 ft). As a reward, we will enjoy some of the best ocean and mountain views in the area.

PROFESSOR: Ashley Uyeshiro Simon

DEPARTMENT: OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

Dr. Ashley Uyeshiro Simon is an Associate Professor of Clinical Occupational Therapy here at USC. She teaches OT-100 THRIVE: Foundations of Wellbeing, a course created by undergraduate students that seeks to provide a source of connection, self-reflection, and community through learning about how people can live thriving lives in college and in life to promote well-being and mental health among undergraduates. For seven years, Dr. Uyeshiro Simon previously worked at the USC OT faculty practice where she applied Lifestyle Redesign® for clients with behavioral health difficulties, chronic pain, chronic headaches, Multiple Sclerosis, and Parkinson’s Disease.

SCENERY: Ocean and mountain views, greenery, and hopefully some wildflowers!

FUN FACT: Mugu Peak is known as one of the best views in Malibu, we also might get to see some wildlife
