Enjoy the sunshine and get away from the monotony of daily life with a beautiful hike through a gem of a state park located in USC’s backyard. Spending time in the outdoors has created some of the great philosophies of the past. Who knows, maybe you’ll create one of your own on trail!

Dr. Merrick Anderson is a professor of philosophy at USC who specializes in ancient philosophies. A Canadian himself, Dr. Anderson earned his B.A. and M.A. from the University of Toronto and his PhD from Princeton University’s Program in Ancient Philosophy. He is passionate about ancient answers to perennial philosophical questions, and has written many texts on the subject.
