Join us for a beautiful sunset hike to Griffith Observatory, one of LA’s most iconic landmarks! Somehow, I’m already a senior and have NEVER been to Griffith Observatory! I’ve honestly never been more excited for a hike, and I can’t wait to take in the stunning sunset and incredible views of the city we call home! Even better we are lucky to have Professor Warford joining us on this hike, would is an incredible professor, and very knowledgable in a wide variety of topics!
PACKING LIST:

PROFESSOR: Elisa Warford
DEPARTMENT: Viterbi
RATE MY PROFESSOR: "Prof Warford's class was truly the highlight of my 1st sem at USC."
Professor Warford teaches courses in the ethics of science and technology and written and oral engineering communication. Her teaching and research interests include engineering ethics and the rhetoric of science and engineering. Not only is she an amazing professor, she is also an avid hiker and backpacker herself! She’s gone on lots of amazing trips that I’m sure she'd be happy to talk about!
PEAK: Griffith Observatory
DIFFICULTY: 1.5/5
SCENERY: Rare woodsy area followed by the sweeping city views that Griffith park never fails to deliver on, plus a beautiful sunset!
FUN FACT: When Griffith J. Griffith donated the land on which Griffith observatory was build and funds to build an observatory his main goal was to make astronomy accessible to the public. This was contradictory to the prevailing idea at the time that observatory access should be restricted to scientists. That’s pretty neat!
