Kate Stuzin

Kate is a senior majoring in Journalism with a minor in Law and Social Justice. Born and raised in Miami, aka the flattest place on earth, she jumped at the chance to live in Los Angeles, where she found her passion for both rock climbing and hiking amid the city’s diverse landscapes and hills.

When she’s not exploring the outdoors with Peaks, Kate can be found reporting on local LA communities, taking concert photographs or befriending stray cats. She’s also an avid chef and swears she has the best method for making a bagel from scratch. Be sure to ask her about her favorite hike during her semester abroad, the Arthur’s Seat hike in Edinburgh, Scotland, where the extinct volcano is said to be the legendary site of King Arthur’s castle, Camelot.
