🌊 JOIN VEDANT AND KAT FOR AN EPIC ADVENTURE TO CATALINA! 🌴 If you love sunshine, the ocean, and unforgettable adventures, this trip is for you! We’re heading out to beautiful Catalina Island, just off the California coast, for a day packed with excitement and good vibes. You will get the option to snorkel through crystal-clear waters alongside colorful fish and kelp forests or kayak along the coastline, exploring hidden coves and enjoying the island views. We’ll also go on a few hikes around Wrigley to enjoy the ocean views and nature. Strong swimming skills are a must :)
After signing up for the trip, we will email you to ask whether you would like to snorkel or kayak!

Suhaib is a PhD student at USC, and is also a Peaks Trip Lead!
Suhaib is a social psychologist with a strong engineering background. Prior to joining the University of Southern California, he completed a BS and MS in Process Engineering at the Berlin Institute of Technology. Originally, he was interested in using machine learning for control systems and process optimization, but he became increasingly interested in using these methods to model human behavior instead. Suhaib then completed a BS in psychology at Free University Berlin, and transitioned to studying complex human interactions through a combination of computational and behavioral methods. Currently, his research focuses on grounding computational methods in psychological theory to advance our knowledge of various social phenomena.

FUN FACT: The Chicago Cubs used to hold their spring training on Catalina from 1921 to 1951, thanks to the Wrigley family (who owned the island and the Cubs)!
