PROFESSOR: DOUG PETTY
DEPARTMENT: Popular Music & Music Production
RATE MY PROFESSOR: 5/5. “Doug just might be the chillest man on this campus.”
Professor Doug Petty is not only one of the most fun, kind, and exciting professors at Thornton, but he is also an accomplished performer, producer, arranger, and composer. He’s worked with artists ranging anywhere from Rihanna to Enrique Iglesias, and he is currently the performing keyboardist for Tears For Fears. Professor Petty also has a wealth of experience writing music for television and film.
PEAK: Cahuenga Peak
DIFFICULTY: 2.5/5
SCENERY: Greenery and hills, nice panoramas and (hopefully clear!) views of the greater Los Angeles area. Decent incline, but short on mileage.
FUN FACT: We’ll be next to the Hollywood sign!
