No better way to start off the semester than with a quick hike!! Join us for a morning full of panoramic views of Los Angeles and philosophical questions on this short 3 mile trail to Mount Hollywood! (Note: This hike doesn’t go behind the Hollywood Sign, but provides good views of it!)

Professor Monaghan graduated with a Ph.D. from the University at Buffalo in 2019. Before becoming an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at USC, he was a Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy in the Smith Institute for Political Economy and Philosophy at Chapman University. His research specializes in the political philosophy of policing and cities as well as moral and political philosophy.

SCENERY: Panoramic views of Los Angeles!! Everything is relatively green and pretty right now, don’t miss out! (Note: This hike includes a view of the Hollywood sign on Mt. Hollywood, but does not go directly behind it, which can be done from Mt. Lee.)
