Join the dynamic duo Michael and Nancy Cousineau on this 5.5 mile hike that ends at the ruins of a late 19th century vacation destination. Dr. Cousineau has an impressive record of teaching, research, and mentoring USC students. While he taught his final class (at Oxford) in 2022, he’ll be joining us on his second Peaks & Professors hike along with Nancy and their storied lives.

PACKING LIST:

  • Sunscreen/hat

  • Athletic/hiking shoes

  • WATER!!!!!!!!! (1-2 liters)

  • Snacks (to share? <3) / lunch

PROFESSOR: MICHAEL COUSINEAU

DEPARTMENT: POPULATION AND PUBLIC HEALTH SCIENCES, KECK SCHOOL OF MEDICINE

Dr. Cousineau has taught hundreds of USC MPH students, lead several undergraduate study abroad trips, conducted extensive research, and is currently still generously supporting early-career researchers in their work. In his field, he’s passionate about addressing the health needs of vulnerable populations and studying US health policy. Outside of work, Dr. Cousineau can be seen trekking across all of the beautiful terrain California has to offer with his family and playing guitar.

SCENERY: lush greenery, forest and mountain vibes, lowkey eroded from all the rain but we’ll get through this together

FUN FACT: We’ll eat lunch at the ruins of an old hotel! Let’s explore!!!!
