WAIVERS
PROFESSOR: Atia Sattar
DEPARTMENT: Gender and Sexuality Studies
RATE MY PROFESSOR: "Professor Sattar is so kind and receptive to student needs. The stuff I learned in this class blows my mind, and she is so much more interested in having you learn and engage with the material than giving you busy work.”
PROFESSOR: Krishna Narayanamurti
DEPARTMENT: English / Creative Writing
RATE MY PROFESSOR: "Prof Krishna was one of the most caring teachers I've had. He's just an email away, and gives extensive comments on everything you turn in to him. He's also super organized he plans out a schedule for the whole semester so you know exactly what is happening. Krishna is super good about including POC and LGBTQIA+ voices in the readings we do.”
PEAK: Portuguese Bend
DIFFICULTY: 2/5
SCENERY: Beautiful ocean views, rollings hills, wildflowers, and views of Catalina Island on a clear day!
FUN FACT: The name “Portuguese Bend” comes from the Azorean whalers who occupied the area in the later 19th century.
