Waterman Mountain w/ Larry Harris {Finance}

Let’s play in the snow! Join us on this 5.8-mile, 1335 elevation gain hike in Angeles National Forest with Professor Larry Harris (and his two poodles)! NOTE: Depending on weather conditions, we might not make it to the peak but we’ll go as far as possible. Warm clothes and hiking boots/waterproof shoes (not tennis shoes) are a must for this hike (see packing list below).

PACKING LIST:

  • H2O

  • WAIVERS

  • Hiking Boots / Waterproof Shoes (with good traction)

  • Long Pants (waterproof ideally), Base Layer, Warm Jacket

  • Lunch / Snacks

WE WILL PROVIDE:

  • Crampons / Snow Shoes



Larry Harris serves as the Fred V. Keenan Chair in Finance at Marshall. His research, teaching and consulting focus on regulatory and practitioner issues in trading and investment management, and he has a book titled “Trading and Exchanges: Market Microstructure for Practitioners.” His two poodles (Musket and Bootstrap) will be joining us on this hike! You can also talk to Professor Harris about his flying experience and the multitude of Peaks trips he has been on in the past.

SCENERY: Deep in the Angeles Forest, we’ll see snow, cedars and boulder formations!

FUN FACT: Was originally named “Lady Waterman’s Peak” after Liz Waterman and her husband completed a three-week hike from La Canada Flintridge to the Antelope Valley and back.
