Lake Vista Trail w/ TAs Isaac & Minh (Neuroscience)

Spend your Saturday on a lovely 4-mile hike in Malibu with neuroscience researcher and T.A.s Isaac & Minh! We will hike past the beautiful wildflowers and enjoy amazing Malibu Lake views.

PROFESSORs: TA Minh and TA Isaac

DEPARTMENT: Neuroscience

Isaac Cohen did his Undergrad at NYU in Neuroscience, and furthered his education by practicing viral tracing and optogenetics at Cold Spring Harbor. At USC, he is currently doing research for his PhD in the Dr. Hires Lab, and will pursue research on neurodevelopment next year at CHLA for his PostDoc.

Minh pursued a degree in Neuroscience at UCLA, where they worked in Dr. Michael Levine’s lab studying the molecular basis of Huntington’s disease. At USC, Minh is a PhD student in Dr. Lauren McElvain’s lab. Their research currently focuses on the anatomical connectivity and function of the basal ganglia output nuclei.

SCENERY: We will be able to see beautiful views of Malibu Lake, and hopefully some wildflowers!

FUN FACT: Scenes from the iconic sitcom M.A.S.H. were filmed near to Malibu Lake.
