Join Peaks and Professors for a moderate hike in the stunning Franklin Canyon Park! Get ready to take in the breathtaking scenery of the canyon, its serene reservoir, and the lush surrounding foliage as we embark on a memorable hike led by none other than the iconic English professor, Christopher Freeman. Along the way, we'll be treated to panoramic views of the hidden nature of Los Angeles. Whether you're seeking a brisk hike watching LA’s scenery or a peaceful communion with nature, this hike promises the best of both worlds in the heart of Los Angeles.

PROFESSOR: Christopher Freeman

Hailing from Rome, Georgia and having completed his PhD in English and Gender Studies at Vanderbilt, Christopher Freeman resides in the Department of English, where his work focuses primarily on 20th century queer studies. He teaches a wide range of classes from GEs on poetry to upper-division writing seminars, and he is loved by all of his students. Professor Freeman is an expert on all things LA and Hollywood related, and if you take his classes, you might get even get to Skype in with a celebrity or two. This long-anticipated hike has been months in the making, and the anticipation leading up to the date is palpable. Professor Freeman's enthusiasm, coupled with the scenic wonders of Franklin Canyon Park, promises an unforgettable experience that everyone is eagerly looking forward to.
