Come join the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) and Peaks on a four-mile hike in the Santa Monica Mountains! We will have lovely ocean views, and AEE faculty advisor Dr. Kelly Sanders will be joining us. Come prepared for some great conversations with fellow students interested in sustainable energy infrastructure!

Dr. Kelly Sanders is a Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at USC and a nationally recognized expert in sustainable energy systems, focusing on the energy–water nexus and decarbonization. She served in the 2022 White House Office of Science and Technology Policy as a Senior Policy Advisor, where she helped shape federal strategies on clean energy, water sustainability, and climate resilience, contributing technical expertise to advance U.S. decarbonization and infrastructure policy. Dr. Sanders has also been recognized in Forbes’ 30 under 30 and MIT Technology Review’s 35 Innovators Under 35!
